2 Year Old Surfer Baby Beach Milestone Session in Darien, CT
/I’m excited to be showing you a glimpse of Jax’s 2 year milestone session from the beach in Darien, CT!
As a Mom of 2 who works from home, days can get kinda crazy…especially during the Summer when school is out! The evening of this session was one of those days! Beach sessions take place 1 hour before sunset, which is pretty late in the summer. So, my husband is usually home well before I leave for a session during the summer. Well, on this particular day, my husband had a rare meeting in NYC so he was commuting via train and his train got STUCK on the way home! He was stuck on the train and I had to leave for my session! Of course I couldn’t get a sitter 15 minutes before I needed one (though I tried) and I was really at a loss for what to do! It was super stressful for me because I HATE being late (and in fact, had never been late for a session prior to this one!). But I stayed in constant contact with my clients letting them know my ETA and put together a little thank you gift for them! My clients were THE SWEETEST people ever and were so understanding.
Two year session are always so much fun! You never know what they are going to do and they are a bit to young to understand “stand still and smile” so I just let them do their thing and document them being two! We move around a lot and keep trying new things to keep them from getting bored! He was a little unsure about the sand at first, but then decided he really loved throwing rocks into the water! I love his beautiful hair and his style went so well for the surfer beach baby look!
